Chinese Landscape

Chinese Landscape is a painting tradition originating in China, flourishing from the Song dynasty (960 to 1279) through the Yuan (1271 to 1368) and Ming (1368 to 1644) periods. Known in Chinese as shan shui (mountain and water), it depicts vast mountain ranges, misty valleys and winding rivers rendered in ink on silk or paper. Its defining masters include Fan Kuan, Guo Xi and Huang Gongwang.

This collection brings together four faithful prints of public-domain works by the great masters of the shan shui tradition. Works include Guo Xi's Early Spring, a monumental hanging scroll from the Northern Song period, and Fan Kuan's Travelers Among Mountains and Streams, widely regarded as one of the supreme achievements of Chinese ink painting. Each print is produced in full colour on 225gsm matt photo paper, available in sizes A4 to A1, as a print-only or framed option, from £19.
