Persian, Mughal & Indian

Persian, Mughal & Indian is a tradition of court painting developed across the Islamic empires of Persia, the Mughal Empire of South Asia, and the sultanates of the Indian subcontinent, from roughly the 13th century through the 18th century. Characterised by jewel-like colour, intricate geometric ornament, gold leaf, narrative miniatures, and stylised landscape, its great masters include Bihzad of Herat and the Mughal court painters working under emperors Akbar, Jahangir, and Shah Jahan.

This collection brings together faithful prints of public-domain works from the Eastern courts: album leaves, royal nature studies, and epic narrative scenes such as Peregrine Falcon on a Perch and The Court of Gayumars. Each print is produced in full colour on 225gsm matt photo paper, available in four sizes from A4 to A1, framed or print-only, from £19.
