Renaissance

The Renaissance was the European cultural and artistic movement that flourished from roughly 1400 to 1600, beginning in the Italian city-states before spreading to northern Europe. It was defined by a renewed interest in classical antiquity, the naturalistic rendering of the human figure, linear perspective and the careful study of light. Its leading figures include Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Sandro Botticelli and Titian.

This collection brings together faithful prints of public-domain works by the great masters: devotional paintings, mythological scenes and portraits. It includes Botticelli's graceful figures, the meticulous domestic detail of The Arnolfini Portrait by Jan van Eyck, the earthy seasonal labour of The Harvesters by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and the poised realism of Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci. Each work is printed in full colour on 225gsm matt photo paper, available from A4 to A1, framed or print-only, from £19.
