Romanticism

Romanticism is a cultural and artistic movement that flourished across Europe between roughly 1770 and 1850, originating in Germany and Britain as a reaction against Enlightenment rationalism. It elevated emotion, the sublime in nature, individual imagination and a sense of the spiritual. Key figures include J.M.W. Turner, Caspar David Friedrich and Francisco Goya.

This collection brings together 23 faithful prints of public-domain works by the great masters of the movement. You will find Turner's sublime seascapes and storm-lit skies, Friedrich's solitary figures in works such as Two Men Contemplating the Moon and The Sea of Ice, and the unsettling psychological intensity of Goya alongside the quieter pastoral vision of Constable's The Cornfield. Every print is produced in full colour on 225gsm matt photo paper, available from A4 to A1, as a print-only or framed finish, from £19.
