Wang Hui was a Qing dynasty painter and the leader of the Orthodox school of literati landscape. His twelve-scroll Kangxi Southern Inspection Tour, commissioned by the emperor, runs to more than two hundred metres in total length and is one of the great cycles of Chinese painting.
